Species : ocanensis
A medium sized epiphyte from Colombia and Peru, found in the wet montane forests, occasionally as a terrestrial. The pseudobulbs are small and have several leafs. The flowers are quite like those of Brassia, spidery in shape and are a greenish yellow with reddish-brown markings. The inflorescence is erect to about 10” and carries several 2” flowers. It is a cool growing plant, requiring high humidity and good air movement. It flowers at any time of the year with the flowers opening successively.
