A few years ago, a friend mounted this on the bottom of a 12" clay pot. It has taken off in leaps and bounds. I thought he was crazy mounting it this way but I guess I was wrong. It sure looks happy!!!

Certainly seems very happy. I've been wondering what to do with mine as the moss is begining to rot down. I may split it and mount one on a clay base like tis one. Thanks for the idea Ron. _________________ Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together.

Looks wonderful. Might try one of mine like that. How wet do you keep the plant Ron?
Cheers,

Wow! Hope mine grows that well in vase culture. I'll have to buy a bigger vase if it does though! _________________ Debbie

Spectacular! Same question as Marg: how wet do you keep it? Any moss or something else on top of the clay pot?

Saila | sorry i missed this question...it is watered a 2-3 times per week but kept in a humid greenhouse. It used to sit on the edge of a bench but we had discussed hanging it and a few months ago I decided to do that for him. I hung it in a spot where it can now be watered more often 3-4 X per week/ I will update the pic when it comes into bloom. The roots are starting to dangle down below the rim of the pot. |

Thanks Ron, will mount one of my plants this way in spring. Did it need a pad of sphagnum underneath the roots to help it get established?
Cheers,

| How do you fully water the plant and all aerials without getting the buds and blooms wet? Or does it matter? I have a Neo of similar size starting to bloom and I'm worried about watering without getting the spikes, buds, and blooms wet. |
