A very nice contrast to Asc. miniatum.
When the spikes open fully I shall replace the pictures.
From Tailand China and India, amongst other places, I grow it intermediate with high humidity and daily thorough soaks. Misting and spraying only during the winter. Dappled shade during the summer and full light in the winter.

Hi Bill
I am feeling very tempted to buy this species. Any advice on what is its flower trigger?
Cheers

I love this species, the flower colour reminds me of a tropical sunset. Which makes me wonder why I haven't got one. _________________ Debbie

Hi Trey, I find the trigger to be high light in the winter. I put mine in the ridge through the winter months where it gets any direct sun and the highest light available. Similar conditions to most of the Asco.

Another plant.
Flowers are slightly smaller and a little more orange'y.
